As a Junior Brand Ambassador for the JSCC, below is some information on the series. If you have been in karting, as I am, in junior motorsport, the JSCC is a great step into circuit racing and one which many drivers have excelled in. I am already planning my entry to the series, hence being part of the JSCC Young Ones and my move to Junior Hotrods, to get some great car control skills under my belt!
The Junior Saloon Car Championship provides motorsport for young adults between 14 and 17 years with exciting close racing at a low cost.
The 2019 season proved to be very competitive yet again with performance very close between a number of the competitors. The racing has been close yet the continues to be fairly contested although some mistakes are made as these younger drivers find their feet. The championship has taken on-board the Motorsport UK RACE 'n' RESPECT campaign where drivers, teams and supporters are asked to abide by a racing code. The code is based on strong values of respect, fair play, self-control, sincerity and good manners.
You can start racing at 14 years of age, but many people decide to start testing a good few months before, to try to hit the ground running. The series is ran by the BARC, a racing club who devotes great time and care to their competitors and offers support for new racing drivers.
If you are thinking you would like to give it a go or find out more, contact Series Director, Dave Beecroft, for more information on davidbeecroft@icloud.com or through their Facebook page.

They also have a yearly scholarship, which gives you the chance to get a full season's racing paid for and a car to use as well!
All their latest events will be on their website.
If you are aged between 9-12, why not look into the JSCC Young Ones! Get on track in real race cars!
