About the Series
Introduced in 2021, the very popular Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship provides Mk1 Mazda MX-5 racers with the opportunity to race on huge grids, in a one-day format.
With a 15-minute qualifying session, typically followed by 2 x 15-minute races held over a single day on the majority of race weekends (some meeting will very occasionally see three races).
The Mk1 MX-5 is one of the best small sports cars of all time, and one which provides a true challenge to master for drivers of all experience levels, backgrounds and ages. The relative simplicity of the cars means they can be prepared from home or maintained by one of several race teams, and they provide a cost-effective way for anyone to compete in a contemporary small open-topped sports car.
